July 15, 2008 I would bet
that Island records after counting the proceeds from the mammoth album
“Among The Living” wanted to push the ‘Thrax boys into the
studio as fast as possible. It kind of shows on this one. Gone are the catchy
choruses and thrash metal monster riffs replaced with a more serious, almost
somber feel to the entire album. Don’t get me wrong, this is a solid
album, but not one of Anthrax’s best. The highlights for me are
“Be All, End All”, and the Blue Velvet inspired “Now Its
Dark”. |
